Cook the Penne
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Marinara Sauce
In a saucepan, heat the homemade marinara sauce over medium heat until warmed through.

Combine Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked penne pasta with the warmed marinara sauce. Stir until the pasta is well-coated.

Assemble the Tray
Transfer the pasta and sauce mixture to a small baking tray. Sprinkle the grated parmigiana cheese over the top.

Bake
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the tray for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Garnish and Serve
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh basil before serving.
