Meatballs and Assembly

Method

Preparation and Assembly

  1. 1

    Make the Meatballs

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form and Cook the Meatballs

Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the meatballs until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 10-12 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add Marinara Sauce

Pour the marinara sauce over the cooked meatballs in the skillet. Let simmer for about 5 minutes to heat the sauce and allow flavors to meld.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Sandwich

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place a slice of ciabatta bread on a baking sheet. Top with meatballs and marinara sauce, then sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.

  5. 5

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve hot.
