Fried Mozzarella Ingredients

Method

Fried Mozzarella Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cheese

Slice the fresh mozzarella into 1/2-inch thick slices and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate shallow bowls, place flour in the first bowl, beaten eggs in the second, and breadcrumbs mixed with oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in the third.

  3. 3

    Bread the Cheese

Dip each mozzarella slice first into the flour, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture. Ensure each slice is evenly coated and set aside.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot, about 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Mozzarella

Carefully add the breaded mozzarella slices to the hot oil in batches, avoiding overcrowding. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.

  6. 6

    Drain and Serve

Remove the fried mozzarella from the oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
