Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Roast the Peppers

Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Place the red bell peppers on a baking sheet and roast them in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally, until the skin is charred and blistered.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Garlic

While the peppers are roasting, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.

  3. 3

    Peel and Slice the Peppers

Once the peppers are roasted, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Peel off the charred skin, remove the seeds, and slice them into strips.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the roasted pepper strips with the sautéed garlic, fresh basil leaves, and toss gently. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the salad warm or at room temperature, garnished with additional basil if desired.
