Method
Brewing the Tea

Boil the Water
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.

Steep the Tea Bags
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the tea bags. Let them steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.

Remove Tea Bags
After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags from the pot. If you prefer a sweeter tea, add 1 cup of granulated sugar at this point and stir until dissolved.
Chilling the Tea

Cool the Tea
Allow the brewed tea to cool down to room temperature. This may take about 15-20 minutes.

Refrigerate
Once cooled, transfer the tea to a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours until thoroughly chilled.
Making Raspberry Iced Tea (Optional)

Add Raspberry Syrup
If you want raspberry iced tea, add 1 cup of raspberry syrup to the chilled tea and stir well.
Serving

Serve Over Ice
Serve the iced tea over ice in tall glasses. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a slice of lemon, if desired.
