Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Au Jus

In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and garlic, sautéing until the onions are translucent.

  2. 2

Add the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Sandwiches

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the ciabatta rolls in half.

  4. 4

Layer the roast beef and provolone cheese on the bottom half of each roll.

  5. 5

Place the top half of the roll on each sandwich and wrap them in aluminum foil.

  6. 6

    Bake the Sandwiches

Place the wrapped sandwiches in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are warm.

  7. 7

    Serve

Remove the sandwiches from the oven, unwrap, and serve with the warm au jus for dipping.
