Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, mix honey, salt, pepper, and paprika. Coat the chicken thighs with this mixture and let them marinate for 15-20 minutes.

  2. 2

    Fry the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Dredge the marinated chicken thighs in all-purpose flour, shaking off excess. Fry the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.

  3. 3

    Make the Gravy

In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in the remaining flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually whisk in milk and chicken broth, stirring constantly until thickened. Add chopped basil, salt, and pepper, and simmer for an additional 2 minutes.

  4. 4

    Serve

Place the fried chicken on a serving plate and generously smother with the milk gravy. Serve with your choice of two farm-fresh sides.
