Directions
- 1
Prepare the Bread
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the challah bread into 1-inch cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.
- 2
Mix the Custard
In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, half-and-half, brown sugar, granulated sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- 3
Combine the Mixtures
Pour the custard mixture over the bread cubes and gently fold to combine. Allow the bread to soak for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 4
Add Blackberries and Cream Cheese
Gently fold in the fresh blackberries and cream cheese (cut into small cubes) into the soaked bread mixture.
- 5
Bake the Pudding
Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- 6
Serve
Allow the bread pudding to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm, optionally with whipped cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce.
