Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Thinly slice the beef against the grain. Chop the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Slice the white onion, red bell pepper, and shallots. Chop the scallions and set aside.
- 2
Marinate the Beef
In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with a splash of lime juice, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
- 3
Stir-Fry the Vegetables
In a large pan or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add the shallots, white onion, red bell pepper, and broccoli. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp. Remove the vegetables from the pan and set aside.
- 4
Cook the Beef
In the same pan, add another tablespoon of oil if needed. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes until it is browned and cooked through.
- 5
Combine and Finish
Add the stir-fried vegetables back into the pan with the cooked beef. Toss in the Thai basil and chopped scallions. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top and stir everything together for another minute. Serve immediately.
