Preparation
- 1
Cook the Bacon
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove from the skillet and place on a paper towel to drain the excess fat. Once cooled, crumble the bacon into small pieces.

Cooking the Hash Browns
- 3
Prepare the Hash Browns
In a large mixing bowl, combine the frozen hash browns with salt and black pepper. Mix well to ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed.
- 4
Cook Hash Browns
Heat vegetable oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned hash browns in a single layer. Cook for about 5-7 minutes without stirring until the bottom is golden brown and crispy.
- 5
Flip the Hash Browns
Using a spatula, carefully flip the hash browns over and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the other side is golden brown and crispy.

- 6
Layer the Toppings
Once the hash browns are cooked, evenly sprinkle the sautéed onions, bell peppers, crumbled bacon, and sharp cheddar cheese over the top.
- 7
Melt the Cheese
Cover the skillet with a lid and reduce the heat to low. Allow to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.
- 8
