Method

Preparation of Chili

  1. 1

    Cook the Beef

In a large pot over medium heat, add the grass-fed ground beef. Cook until browned, stirring occasionally, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

  2. 2

    Sauté Vegetables

Add the diced onion, minced garlic, and diced bell pepper to the pot. Sauté until the vegetables become soft, approximately 3-5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add Remaining Ingredients

Stir in the canned diced tomatoes, kidney beans, chili powder, ground cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and beef broth. Mix well.

  4. 4

    Simmer the Chili

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and let simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serve the Chili

Ladle the chili into bowls and top with shredded cheddar jack cheese, a dollop of sour cream, and sliced green onions.

  2. 6

    Add Sides

Serve the chili with a slice of cornbread, a handful of tortilla chips, and apple slices on the side.
