Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Egg Mixture

In a mixing bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them until well combined. Add the milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract to the eggs, and whisk until the mixture is smooth.

  2. 2

    Heat the Pan

Place a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and let it warm up. Add a small amount of butter to the pan to prevent sticking.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Dip the Bread

Take one slice of the thick-cut bread and dip it into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are fully coated. Allow any excess mixture to drip off.

  2. 4

    Cook the French Toast

Place the coated bread slice onto the heated skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown. Flip and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes until golden.

  3. 5

    Repeat

Repeat the dipping and cooking process with the remaining slices of bread, adding more butter to the skillet as needed.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve the French Toast

Once all slices are cooked, place them on a plate. Top each slice with a pat of butter and sift powdered sugar over the top before serving.
