Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

  2. 2

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.

Mixing

  1. 3

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, beat together the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, milk, and caramel sauce until smooth.

  2. 4

    Combine Wet and Dry

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

  3. 5

    Add Apples and Nuts

Gently fold in the chopped apples and chopped nuts (if using) into the batter.

Baking

    Pour into Pan

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

  2. 7

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  3. 8

    Cool

Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
