Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cook the Fettuccini
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccini pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Sauce
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn it.
- 3
Add Tomatoes and Spices
Stir in the crushed San Marzano tomatoes, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- 4
Cook the Shrimp
Add the butterfly shrimp to the sauce and cook for about 3-5 minutes, or until they are pink and opaque.
- 5
Combine and Serve
Toss the cooked fettuccini with the sauce and shrimp. Garnish with chopped fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
