Crab Cakes
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Crab Cake Mixture
In a large bowl, gently combine the jumbo lump crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, egg, and chopped green onions. Be careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
- 2
Form the Crab Cakes
Add the breadcrumbs to the crab mixture and gently fold until combined. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
- 3
Chill the Crab Cakes
Place the formed crab cakes on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape during cooking.
- 4
Cook the Crab Cakes
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the crab cakes and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 5
Serve
Serve the crab cakes hot with jalapeno tartar sauce on the side.
