Smoothie Base

Method

Prepare Ingredients

1

Wash and prep fruit

Rinse the raspberries gently under cold water and drain on paper towel. Peel the banana and break into 2–3 chunks for easier blending.

2

If your orange sorbetto is very firm, let it sit at room temperature for 3–5 minutes to soften slightly so the blender can process it smoothly.

Blend Smoothie

3

Combine base ingredients

In the blender jar add the cranberries juice first (this helps the blades move), then add the raspberries, banana chunks, orange sorbetto, yogurt, and ice cubes. If using honey/agave for extra sweetness, add it now.

4

Blend to texture

Secure the lid and blend on medium-high for 30–60 seconds, stopping to scrape down the sides once if needed. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth with no large chunks. If too thick, add up to 2 tablespoons (30 ml) more cranberry juice and pulse to combine. If too thin, add another 1/4 cup sorbetto or a few more ice cubes and blend briefly.

Serve

5

Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity: add a little more honey/agave (1/2 tsp increments) if you want sweeter, or a squeeze of fresh lemon (1/4 tsp lemon juice) if you want brighter acidity. Blend 5–10 seconds to incorporate any additions.

6

Pour the smoothie into two chilled glasses (approx. 12 oz / 355 ml total, divided). Garnish each with two raspberries and two mint leaves pressed on the rim or floated on top.

7

Serve immediately with a straw.
