Smoothie Base

Method

Smoothie Base

1

Prepare fruit

Rinse the strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries thoroughly. Hull and quarter the strawberries to help them blend evenly.

2

Add the peanut butter, prepared strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, passion guava juice, cranberry juice, and Greek yogurt (if using) to a high-speed blender.

3

Add ice cubes to the blender. If you prefer a thinner consistency, hold back 2 tablespoons of juice and add after blending until desired texture is reached.

4

Secure the lid and blend on high for 45–60 seconds, or until the mixture is completely smooth and homogenous. Stop and scrape down the sides with a spatula once if necessary.

5

Taste the smoothie. If you want it sweeter, add honey or maple syrup in 1 teaspoon increments and blend an additional 5–10 seconds to incorporate.

6

If the smoothie is too thick, add up to 2–4 tablespoons more passion guava or cranberry juice and pulse to integrate until desired consistency is reached.

Topping / Garnish

7

Spoon the granola into the bottom of serving glasses or bowls if you want a layered effect, or sprinkle on top after pouring the smoothie.

8

Pour the blended PB Jam smoothie into two 12- to 14-ounce serving glasses, leaving about 1/4 inch headspace for toppings.

9

Top each serving with a sprinkle of granola (about 1/4 cup per glass) and scatter the fresh berry mix on top.

10

Warm the extra teaspoon of peanut butter for 5–10 seconds in a microwave-safe bowl (or thin with a tiny splash of juice) and drizzle lightly over the granola and berries for a finishing touch.

11

Serve immediately with a spoon and straw so the granola can be eaten before it softens.
