Method

Smoothie Base

1

Prepare fruit

If not already prepared, core and roughly chop fresh pineapple into 1-inch pieces. Peel the banana and break into chunks. Rinse blueberries and drain. Measure ingredients so they are ready to add to the blender.

2

Layer ingredients in blender

Add the pineapple chunks and banana to the blender first, followed by the blueberries. Spoon in the yogurt. Pour in the pineapple juice. If you want a thicker, colder texture, add the ice cubes. If you prefer a slightly sweeter smoothie, add honey or maple syrup (start with 1 tsp).

3

Blend

Secure the blender lid and blend on medium-high speed for 45–60 seconds, or until the mixture is completely smooth and no large fruit pieces remain. Stop and scrape down the sides with a spatula once if needed, then blend again for 10–15 seconds to fully combine.

4

Adjust texture and sweetness

Check the smoothie consistency. If it’s too thick, add pineapple juice 1–2 tbsp at a time and pulse to combine until desired texture is reached. If it’s too thin, add a few more ice cubes or a small handful of frozen blueberries and blend 10–20 seconds. Taste and add more honey/maple syrup if needed, blending briefly to mix.

5

Serve

Pour the smoothie into two tall glasses (or one large glass).

Garnish (optional)

6

Garnish each glass with a pineapple wedge on the rim, scatter 3 fresh blueberries on top of each smoothie, and add a small mint sprig for aroma and presentation.
