Smoothie Preparation

1

Prepare ingredients

Peel the banana and break it into 2–3 chunks to help the blender process evenly. Measure peanut butter, milk, protein powder, and frozen yogurt. If using cocoa nibs or chopped chocolate, pulse them later to avoid large pieces.

2

Add to blender

Place banana chunks into the blender first, then add the all-natural peanut butter, whey protein powder, ground chocolate (or cocoa powder), a pinch of salt, and the skim milk.

3

Add frozen yogurt and ice

Spoon in the nonfat vanilla frozen yogurt. Add 4 ice cubes if you prefer a thicker, colder smoothie. If you want a thinner consistency, reduce ice or add up to 2 tablespoons more skim milk.

4

Blend

Secure the blender lid and start blending on low speed for 10–15 seconds to combine, then increase to high and blend for 30–45 seconds until completely smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides once if needed, then blend another 10–15 seconds.

5

Taste and adjust

Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness or texture if needed: add 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup for extra sweetness, or 1–2 tablespoons more milk to thin. If peanut flavor is mild, add an extra 1/2 tablespoon peanut butter and blend briefly.

6

Serve

Pour the smoothie into a 16–20 oz glass. Garnish with banana slices, a sprinkle of crushed peanuts and a light dusting of cocoa powder if desired. Serve immediately with a straw.
