Method
Smoothie Base
Prepare fruit
If using fresh strawberries, hull and quarter them. If using frozen berries, let them sit at room temperature 2–3 minutes so they blend more evenly. Measure strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries into the blender.
Add ice (optional)
If you prefer a thicker or colder texture, add 4 ice cubes. If your frozen yogurt is very firm, you can skip ice.
Blend
Secure the blender lid and blend on medium-high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and uniform, about 45–60 seconds. Stop and scrape down the sides with a spatula if needed, then blend another 10–15 seconds.
Check consistency and flavor
Taste the smoothie. If it is too tart, add up to 1 additional teaspoon honey or agave and blend briefly. If too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons apple juice and blend to loosen.
Serve
Pour the smoothie into two 12–14 oz glasses (or one large 20–24 oz glass).
