Base & Liquids

Method

Preparation

1

Chill & prep fruit

If using fresh blueberries and strawberries, rinse them under cold water. Hull the strawberries and pat all fruit dry. If you prefer a colder, thicker smoothie, freeze fruit for 30–60 minutes beforehand or use frozen fruit directly.

2

Measure liquids & yogurt

Measure 1 cup passion guava juice and 1 cup fresh yogurt. For a sweeter, more tropical flavor, use slightly chilled juice and yogurt.

Blending

3

Add ingredients to blender

Add the passion guava juice and fresh yogurt to the blender first (this helps liquids move through the blades). Add blueberries and hulled strawberries on top. Spoon in the nonfat vanilla frozen yogurt. If using honey or agave, add 1 tablespoon now. Add 4 ice cubes if you want a thicker, colder texture.

4

Blend to smooth

Secure the lid and blend on medium-high for 45–75 seconds, or until the mixture is completely smooth and no large fruit pieces remain. Stop and scrape down the sides with a spatula as needed, then blend another 10–15 seconds to fully combine.

5

Adjust consistency & sweetness

If the smoothie is too thick, add 2 tablespoons of passion guava juice at a time and re-blend until you reach the desired pourable consistency. If not sweet enough, add an additional 1/2 tablespoon honey or agave and blend briefly.

Serve

6

Pour the smoothie into two tall glasses (about 16–20 oz capacity each). Garnish each glass with a sprinkle of fresh blueberries or a couple of strawberry slices on top. Serve immediately with a straw.
