Method
Base & Liquid
Add frozen fruit and banana
Place 1.5 cups frozen mixed berries and the frozen banana into the blender jar. Using frozen fruit gives a thick, cold smoothie without needing much ice.
Optional Boosters & Sweeteners
Add yogurt and sweetener
Add 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt for creaminess and 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup if you prefer added sweetness. Add 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract for extra flavor if using.
Nutrition Add-ins (optional)
Add seeds, greens or protein
If using, add 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed or chia seeds for fiber and omega-3, 1 cup fresh spinach for a green boost (it blends mild and won't overpower the berries), and 1 scoop protein powder if you want extra protein.
Garnish & Serving
Blend
Secure the blender lid and blend on medium-high for 30–60 seconds, stopping and scraping down the sides as needed. If mixture seems too thick or the blades struggle, add 2–4 tablespoons more milk and blend again. For a thicker, colder texture add up to 3 ice cubes and pulse to incorporate.
Serve
Pour into one large glass (about 16 oz) or two small glasses. Garnish with a fresh whole berry or a banana slice to taste. Serve immediately.
