Main Ingredients

Method

Cooking the Macaroni

  1. 1

    Boil the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the macaroni pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Preparing the Steak and Vegetables

  1. 2

    Cook the Steak

While the pasta is cooking, heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak with salt and black pepper. Sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let it rest before slicing.

  2. 3

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the sliced onion, jalapeño, and mushrooms. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender and slightly caramelized. Remove from heat.

Making the Fiery Chip Sauce

  1. 4

    Blend the Sauce

In a blender, combine chipotle peppers, minced garlic, sour cream, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

Combining Everything

  1. 5

    Mix It All Together

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, sautéed vegetables, and sliced steak. Pour the fiery chip sauce over the mixture and toss until evenly coated.
