Cheesesteak Filling

Method

Prepare the Filling

  1. 1

    Cook the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced green bell pepper and onion. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are soft and slightly caramelized.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak to the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the steak is browned and cooked to your liking.

  3. 3

    Melt the Cheese

Sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese over the steak and vegetable mixture. Cover the skillet and let it cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.

Assemble the Cheesesteak

  1. 4

    Prepare the Bread

For the 7 inch or 11 inch serving, slice the sub roll lengthwise without cutting all the way through. For the bowl option, prepare the cauliflower rice or romaine lettuce.

  2. 5

    Fill the Bread or Bowl

Spoon the cheesesteak filling into the prepared sub roll or bowl. Make sure to distribute the filling evenly.

  3. 6

    Serve

Serve immediately while hot. Enjoy your All American cheesesteak!
