Fettuccine Alfredo
Method
Instructions
- 1
Cook the Fettuccine
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Alfredo Sauce
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- 3
Combine Ingredients
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Cook for about 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- 4
Toss the Pasta
Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss until well coated with the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little pasta water to reach desired consistency.
- 5
Serve
Garnish with chopped parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately with garlic bread and a choice of soup or salad.
