Prepare the Burger Patty
In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form the beef into two equal-sized patties.

Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Cook the Burger Patties
In the same skillet, cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, adding a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking.

Assemble the Burger
On the bottom half of each bun, layer the lettuce, cooked patty with cheese, bacon, tomato slice, onion rings, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serve the burgers hot with a side of French fries.
