Prepare the Ribs
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.

Make the Rub
In a bowl, mix together olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper to create a rub.

Season the Ribs
Rub the spice mixture generously over both sides of the ribs.

Bake the Ribs
Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and cover them tightly with another piece of foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours.

Prepare the BBQ Sauce
While the ribs are baking, you can prepare your favorite smokey BBQ sauce or use store-bought.

Serve
Remove from the oven, let rest for a few minutes, then slice between the bones and serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.
