Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Grill

Soak hickory wood chips in water for at least 30 minutes. Preheat the grill to medium heat.

  2. 2

    Season the Salmon

In a small bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and fresh dill. Brush this mixture onto the salmon fillets.

  3. 3

    Add Wood Chips

Drain the soaked hickory wood chips and place them in a smoker box or wrap them in aluminum foil, poking holes for the smoke to escape. Place the box or foil on the grill.

  4. 4

    Grill the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets on the grill grates, skin side down. Close the lid and grill for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with additional fresh dill if desired.
