Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 liters of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the boiling water.

Cook Spaghetti
Add 400 grams of spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, usually about 8-10 minutes, until al dente.

Drain Pasta
Once cooked, drain the spaghetti in a colander and set aside.
Making Bolognese Sauce

Sauté Vegetables
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add 1 diced medium onion, 1 diced medium carrot, and 1 diced stalk of celery. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the vegetables are softened.

Brown the Meat
Add 500 grams of ground beef to the skillet. Cook, stirring frequently, until the meat is browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes.

Add Tomatoes and Wine
Stir in 400 grams of canned tomatoes, 2 tablespoons of tomato paste, and 150 ml of red wine. Mix well.

Season the Sauce
Add 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, 1 teaspoon of dried basil, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Stir to combine.

Simmer the Sauce
Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the drained spaghetti to the bolognese sauce and toss to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.
