Sourdough Bread

House Butter of the Day

Method

Prepare House Butter

  1. 1

    Soften the Butter

Take the stick of unsalted butter out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes until softened.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped fresh herbs, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper. Use a fork or spatula to blend the mixture until well combined and creamy.

  3. 3

    Chill the Butter

Transfer the herb-infused butter to a small dish or roll it into a log using parchment paper. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Grill the Sourdough

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium heat, about 350°F (175°C).

  2. 5

    Prepare the Bread

Take the slices of sourdough bread and brush each side lightly with olive oil or melted butter for extra flavor.

  3. 6

    Grill the Bread

Place the prepared sourdough slices on the grill. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread has nice grill marks and is crispy to your liking.

  4. 7

    Serve

Remove the grilled sourdough from the grill and serve immediately with a generous dollop of the house butter of the day.
