Method

Preparation of Mushrooms

  1. 1

    Cleaning the Mushrooms

Gently wipe each mushroom with a damp paper towel to remove any dirt. Avoid rinsing them under water as mushrooms absorb moisture.

  2. 2

    Removing Stems

Carefully twist and pull out the stems from each mushroom cap. Finely chop the stems and set them aside for the stuffing mixture.

Making the Stuffing

  1. 3

    Mixing Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped thyme, grated Parmesan cheese, finely chopped mushroom stems, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined and creamy.

  2. 4

    Stuffing the Mushrooms

Using a small spoon or a piping bag, fill each mushroom cap generously with the cream cheese mixture, ensuring they are heaped slightly.

Baking

  1. 5

    Prepping for Baking

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet with olive oil or line it with parchment paper.

  2. 6

    Arranging the Stuffed Mushrooms

Place the stuffed mushrooms on the greased baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart to allow even cooking.

  3. 7

    Baking

Bake the mushrooms in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the mushrooms are tender.
