Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Preparing the Octopus

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the octopus and cook for about 45 minutes to 1 hour until tender. Remove from water and let it cool.

  2. 2

    Marinating the Octopus

Once cooled, cut the octopus into manageable pieces. In a bowl, mix olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Add the octopus pieces and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Grilling the Octopus

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated octopus for about 3-4 minutes on each side until charred and crispy.

  4. 4

    Preparing the Avocado and Tomato

While the octopus is grilling, dice the avocado and tomato. Season with salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lime juice.

  5. 5

    Serving

On a serving plate, arrange the grilled octopus. Top with salsa macha, diced avocado, and tomato. Garnish with fresh cilantro. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
