Preparation

  1. 1

    Prep the Vegetables

Wash and cut the tomato in half. Clean the mushrooms and slice them if they are large. Peel and chop the potato into small cubes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Meats

In a large skillet, over medium heat, add the sausages and bacon. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 10 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Black Pudding

In the same skillet, add the slices of black pudding and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until crispy. Remove and set aside with the other meats.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Cook the Potatoes

In the same skillet, add a tablespoon of butter. Add the chopped potatoes and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 10-15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. 5

    Sauté the Mushrooms and Tomato

Add the cleaned mushrooms to the skillet and sauté for about 5 minutes until they are tender. Add the halved tomato cut-side down and cook for another 3-4 minutes.

  3. 6

    Fry the Eggs

In a separate pan, melt a little butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the pan and cook to your desired doneness (sunny side up or over easy). Season with salt and pepper.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Irish Breakfast

On a large plate, arrange the sausages, bacon, black pudding, sautéed mushrooms, tomato, crispy potatoes, and fried eggs. Serve with a cup of black tea.
