Method

Biscuit Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to ensure it's hot when you bake the biscuits.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together until well mixed.

  3. 3

    Cut in Butter

Add the cold unsalted butter to the dry ingredients. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. 4

    Add Wet Ingredients

Pour in the buttermilk and milk. Stir gently with a wooden spoon or spatula until just combined. Do not overmix.

  5. 5

    Shape the Biscuits

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Pat it into a rectangle about 1-inch thick. Use a biscuit cutter to cut out rounds and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  6. 6

    Bake the Biscuits

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.

Honey Butter Preparation

  1. 7

    Mix Honey and Butter

In a small bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter and honey. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

  2. 8

    Serve

Once the biscuits are baked, remove them from the oven and serve warm with the honey butter spread on top.
