Fries

Method

Preparing the Fries

  1. 1

    Cut the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to create fries.

  2. 2

    Soak the Fries

Place the cut fries in a bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 3

    Dry the Fries

Drain the soaked fries and pat them dry with paper towels to remove moisture.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a deep pot or fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Potatoes

Fry the potatoes in batches, cooking until they are golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.

  6. 6

    Season the Fries

Remove the fries from the oil, drain on paper towels, and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika to taste.

Preparing the Toppings

  1. 7

    Cook the Wagyu Steak

Season the wagyu steak with salt and pepper. Grill or pan-sear it until it reaches your desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Let it rest before slicing.

  2. 8

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add sliced onions, mushrooms, and sweet bell peppers. Sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 9

    Melt the Cheese

Add the white American cheese to the sautéed vegetables and stir until melted and combined.

Assembling the Dish

  1. 10

    Plate the Fries

On a serving plate, arrange a generous portion of the seasoned fries.

  2. 11

    Add the Toppings

Top the fries with the sautéed vegetable and cheese mixture, followed by slices of the grilled wagyu steak.

  3. 12

    Serve Immediately

Serve the wagyu fries hot, and enjoy!
