Method

Preparing the Fries

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the frozen French fries packaging.

  2. 2

    Coat Fries

In a large mixing bowl, combine the frozen French fries with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the fries are evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Arrange Fries

Spread the seasoned fries in a single layer on a baking sheet.

  4. 4

    Bake Fries

Bake the fries according to package instructions until they are golden and crispy, usually around 25-30 minutes. Flip halfway through for even cooking.

Preparing the Toppings

  1. 5

    Heat Skillet

While the fries are baking, heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

  2. 6

    Sauté Onions and Peppers

Add the sliced onions and sweet peppers to the skillet. Sauté until they are soft and the onions are translucent, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 7

    Add Mushrooms

Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and continue to sauté for another 3-5 minutes until the mushrooms are tender.

  4. 8

    Add Plant-Based Beef

Once the mushrooms are cooked, stir in the grilled plant-based beef and cook until heated through, about 2-3 minutes.

  5. 9

    Set Toppings Aside

Remove the skillet from heat and set aside.

Assembling the Impossible Fries

  1. 10

    Transfer Fries

Once the fries are done baking, remove them from the oven and transfer to a serving platter.

  2. 11

    Add Toppings

Top the fries with the sautéed mushroom, onion, pepper, and plant-based beef mixture.

  3. 12

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle the white American cheese over the top of the loaded fries.

  4. 13

    Melt Cheese (Optional)

Optional: Place the loaded fries back in the oven for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese.

  5. 14

    Serve

Serve immediately and enjoy your Impossible Fries!
