Method

To Prepare the Burrata

  1. 1

Place the burrata cheese on a serving plate and set aside while you prepare the accompaniments.

To Make the Sicilian Pistachio Butter

  1. 2

    Blend Ingredients

In a food processor, combine the shelled pistachios, unsalted butter, olive oil, and salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  2. 3

    Adjust Seasoning

Taste the pistachio butter and adjust salt if necessary. Set aside.

To Prepare the Tomato Jam

  1. 4

    Cook Tomatoes

In a saucepan, add the cherry tomatoes, sugar, red wine vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  2. 5

    Simmer

Allow the mixture to simmer for about 20-25 minutes, or until the tomatoes have broken down and the mixture is thickened. Remove from heat and let cool.

To Toast the Tuscan Bread

  1. 6

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).

  2. 7

    Prepare Bread

Place the slices of Tuscan bread on a baking sheet. Brush both sides with olive oil.

  3. 8

    Toast

Toast in the oven for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

To Serve

  1. 9

Arrange the toasted Tuscan bread on a serving platter. Serve the burrata cheese alongside the Sicilian pistachio butter and tomato jam for dipping.
