Beef Roast

Toppings

Method

Roasting the Beef

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 225°F (107°C) to ensure a slow and even roast.

  2. 2

    Season the Beef

Rub the American Wagyu beef roast with olive oil, then sprinkle salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder evenly over the entire surface.

  3. 3

    Roast the Beef

Place the seasoned beef roast on a roasting rack in a baking pan. Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the roast. Roast in the preheated oven until the internal temperature reaches 120°F (49°C) for medium-rare, about 2 to 3 hours.

  4. 4

    Rest the Roast

Once the desired temperature is reached, remove the roast from the oven and tent it loosely with aluminum foil. Let it rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing.

Preparing the Toppings

  1. 5

    Slice the Vegetables

While the beef is resting, wash and slice the tomato and onion. Tear the lettuce into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Roast Beef Sandwich

Slice the rested beef roast thinly. On a serving platter or sandwich, layer the sliced beef, followed by provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato slices, onion rings, and a generous spread of mayonnaise.
