Refried Beans

Guacamole

Carnivale Dressing

Method

Tostada Shells

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tostada Shells

In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the corn tortillas, one at a time, frying until they are crispy and golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the tostadas from the oil and drain on paper towels.

Refried Beans

  1. 2

    Heat the Refried Beans

In a saucepan over medium heat, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Then, add the canned refried beans and cumin. Stir to combine and heat through, adding salt to taste. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Guacamole

  1. 3

    Make the Guacamole

In a bowl, scoop the ripe avocados and mash them with a fork until creamy. Mix in lime juice, diced tomato, and chopped cilantro. Add salt to taste and set aside.

Carnivale Dressing

  1. 4

    Prepare the Carnivale Dressing

In a small bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, and hot sauce. Mix well until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning according to taste.

Assembling Garnachas

  1. 5

    Assemble the Garnachas

On each crispy tostada shell, spread a generous layer of the refried beans, followed by a spoonful of guacamole. Drizzle with the Carnivale dressing. Serve immediately and enjoy your Garnachas!
