Preparation of Chicken
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine the chicken breast, olive oil, garlic powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, and lime juice. Mix well to coat the chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Cook the Chicken
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked. Once done, remove from heat and let it cool slightly before shredding.

Fill the Tortillas
Take a flour tortilla and place a portion of shredded chicken in the center. Top with Swiss cheese.
- 4
Roll and Secure
Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it tightly from the bottom to the top. Repeat for all tortillas.
Frying
- 5
Heat the Oil
In a large frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.
- 6
Fry the Chimichangos
Carefully place the rolled tortillas seam-side down into the hot oil. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
