Prepare Taco Filling
1. Cook the Ground Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
2. Add Taco Seasoning
Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the browned beef and pour in the water. Stir to combine. Let it simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens.

3. Prepare the Tortillas
If using corn tortillas, heat them in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until warm and pliable. For flour tortillas, heat them similarly or microwave them for about 20 seconds.
4. Fill the Tacos
Take a tortilla and fill it with a generous spoonful of the beef mixture. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese.
5. Add Condiments
Spoon a dollop of sour cream on top and drizzle with hot sauce to taste.
6. Serve
Fold the tortilla in half and serve immediately while the filling is warm.
