Boudin Balls Ingredients
Method
Boudin Balls Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Boudin
Remove the boudin from its casing and place it in a mixing bowl. Mix well to ensure a uniform consistency.
- 2
Form the Balls
Take a portion of the boudin mixture and roll it into a ball about the size of a golf ball. Repeat until all mixture is used.
- 3
Set Up Breading Station
In a bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the water. Set aside. Place flour and bread crumbs in separate shallow dishes.
- 4
Bread the Boudin Balls
Roll each ball first in flour, then dip in the egg wash, and finally coat with bread crumbs. Ensure each ball is evenly coated.
- 5
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Ensure there's enough oil to submerge the boudin balls.
- 6
Fry the Boudin Balls
Carefully add the breaded boudin balls to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown.
- 7
Drain and Serve
Remove the boudin balls from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Season with salt to taste and serve hot.
