Chicken Wings

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dry Rub

In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Chicken Wings

Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Place them in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Toss to coat evenly.

  3. 3

    Apply the Dry Rub

Sprinkle the dry rub mixture over the chicken wings and toss until they are well coated.

  4. 4

    Smoke the Wings

Soak hickory wood chips in water for at least 30 minutes. Preheat the smoker to 225°F (107°C) and add the soaked wood chips. Place the wings in the smoker and smoke for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

  5. 5

    Grill the Wings

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the wings from the smoker and place them on the grill. Grill for 5-7 minutes on each side until crispy and charred.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove the wings from the grill and toss them in your sauce of choice, if desired. Serve hot.
