Sub or Salad

Chips

Method

Sub or Salad

  1. 1

    Prepare the ingredients

Wash and chop the lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and red onion into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 2

    Build the sub

Slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise without cutting all the way through. Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the inside of the rolls.

  3. 3

    Add the fillings

Layer the deli meats and cheese slices on the bottom of the rolls. Top with the chopped vegetables. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. 4

    Close and serve

Close the rolls and slice them in half if desired. Serve immediately or wrap tightly for later.

Chips

  1. 5

    Serve the chips

Open the bag of potato chips and serve in a bowl or on a plate alongside the sub or salad.

  1. 6

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 7

In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  3. 8

In a large bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. 9

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. 10

Gradually mix the dry ingredient mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.

  6. 11

Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

  7. 12

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

  8. 13

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

  9. 14

Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Serve warm or store in an airtight container.
