Pasta

Method

Cooking Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.

  2. 2

    Cook Pasta

Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Drain Pasta

Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and set aside.

Preparing Vegetables

  1. 4

    Chop Vegetables

While the pasta is cooking, wash and chop all the vegetables into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 5

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once hot, add the chopped bell pepper, zucchini, and carrots. Sauté for about 5 minutes until slightly tender.

  3. 6

    Add Broccoli and Spinach

Add the broccoli florets and spinach to the skillet. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the spinach wilts and the broccoli is bright green.

  4. 7

    Finish with Tomatoes

Finally, add the cherry tomatoes and cook for another 2 minutes, just until they are warmed through.

Making Garlic Sauce

  1. 8

    Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix together the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 9

    Heat Sauce

In a separate small saucepan over low heat, add the garlic mixture and gently heat until fragrant, about 2 minutes.

Combining Dish

  1. 10

    Combine Pasta and Vegetables

In the skillet with the sautéed vegetables, add the drained pasta and garlic sauce. Toss to combine everything evenly.

  2. 11

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the pasta primavera and toss again until well combined.

  3. 12

    Serve

Serve warm, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and freshly cracked black pepper if desired.
