Preparation of Sorbet Base

Make Simple Syrup
This will be our simple syrup base for the sorbet.

Add Lemon Juice
Once the syrup has cooled, stir in the lemon juice to enhance the flavor.
Making Sorbet

Prepare Fruit Purees
In a blender or food processor, combine the fruit of your choice (strawberries, mango, raspberries, or peaches) with 1 cup of the prepared simple syrup base. Blend until smooth.

Strain if Desired
If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the puree through a fine-mesh sieve to remove seeds and pulp.

Chill the Mixture
Refrigerate the fruit puree mixture for at least 1 hour to ensure it’s cold before freezing.

Freeze the Sorbet
Pour the chilled fruit puree into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

Hardening the Sorbet
Transfer the churned sorbet into a lidded container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
