Loaded Baked Potato Ingredients

Method

Directions to Prepare Loaded Baked Potato

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

2

Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and scrub the russet potatoes thoroughly. Pat them dry with a towel.

3

Season the Potatoes

Rub the potatoes with olive oil and sprinkle salt and black pepper evenly over them.

4

Bake the Potatoes

Place the seasoned potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet. Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.

5

Prepare the Toppings

While the potatoes are baking, prepare your toppings: shred the cheddar cheese, chop the green onions, and have the sour cream and bacon bits ready.

6

Finish the Potatoes

Once the potatoes are done, remove them from the oven. Let them cool for a few minutes, then cut a slit down the center of each potato and gently squeeze the ends to open them up.

7

Add Toppings

Add a tablespoon of butter to each potato, then top with shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions, and bacon bits to your preference.

8

Serve

Serve the loaded baked potatoes hot and enjoy!
