Prepare the Mushrooms

Clean the Mushrooms
Gently clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth to remove any dirt. Remove the stems and set the caps aside.

Chop the Mushroom Stems
Finely chop the mushroom stems and set them aside for the stuffing.
Make the Filling

Cook the Sausage
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain off excess fat.

Combine Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, cream cheese, minced garlic, chopped mushroom stems, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Stuff the Mushrooms

Fill the Caps
Using a spoon, fill each mushroom cap generously with the sausage and cream cheese mixture.
Prepare for Baking

Prepare the Topping
In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with olive oil until evenly coated.

Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the stuffed mushrooms.
