Pulled Pork Preparation

Prepare the Pork
Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker.

Mix the Rub
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Apply the Rub
Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder, ensuring it is covered evenly.

Add Liquids
Pour apple cider vinegar and water into the slow cooker around the pork.

Slow Cook
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.

Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Mix in the BBQ sauce.

In a large bowl, combine the coleslaw mix with coleslaw dressing and mix well. Refrigerate until serving.

Preheat oven as per cornbread mix instructions. In a mixing bowl, combine cornbread mix with water and melted butter. Stir until well combined.

Pour the cornbread batter into a greased baking dish and bake according to package instructions, usually about 20-25 minutes.
