Wings

Celery and Blue Cheese Dip

Method

Preparation of Wings

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken Wings

Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them in a large bowl.

  2. 2

    Season the Wings

Sprinkle salt, black pepper, and garlic powder over the chicken wings. Toss the wings until they are evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C). Use a thermometer to ensure the oil reaches the proper temperature.

  4. 4

    Fry the Wings

Carefully add the chicken wings to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 8-10 minutes or until the wings are golden brown and crispy. Remove them from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Buffalo Sauce

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the stick of unsalted butter. Once melted, add the hot sauce and stir until well combined.

  6. 6

    Coat the Wings

In a large bowl, toss the fried wings with the buffalo sauce until they are fully coated.

Serving

  1. 7

    Prepare Celery Sticks

Cut the celery sticks into manageable lengths, about 3-4 inches each.

  2. 8

    Serve

Arrange the buffalo wings on a serving platter alongside the celery sticks. Serve with a side of blue cheese dressing for dipping.
